Well, I’m sitting in the Frankfurt airport. I arrived early here as one never knows how long the lines will be at this airport…
I had a great day Sunday. I woke up thinking I should have asked my friends Andrew and Judy (who used to live in FF) where the International Baptist church [...]

Relaxing days…
April 26th, 2008 · No Comments
I am enjoying my time in FF. Today I took a swim in the pool and did some exercises in the pool. The doctor in Buda suggested that I don’t play BB and swim and bike for exercise. So, I am going to try to do this. However, I don’t think [...]

Thoughts (so far) of Frankfurt
April 26th, 2008 · No Comments
I have enjoyed walking (and boy I have done lots of walking) in Frankfurt. It is a nice city in many respects.
When I checked into my hotel, I was talking with the young lady who worked there. I asked her name and she responded “Alina.” I told her that I had a friend named Alina [...]

Last Friday was like any normal day. I went to the dentist to have some work done on a tooth. Afterwards, I did a little visiting in Budapest. I [...]

I had to try one. I couldn’t resist…
So, after I found out that DP was available in Budapest, I took the tram to MOM Park, a shopping center in town. On the bottom floor is a small fruit and vegetable store with DP for sale.
I already knew that is was expensive, but after the dentist [...]

Basketball tonight
April 7th, 2008 · No Comments
It’s 4:30 a.m. in Budapest, Hungary. I’m watching the basketball championship between Kansas and Memphis in English. The cable network in Buda has the same station I watch in Karaganda, only it is in English.
So, at the half, Kansas is leading… However, as the second half begins, Memphis ties the score…
Should be a [...]

All of our flights from Astana to Europe leave during the night. I got on a very full flight from Astana to Frankfurt. There were lots of parents with newly adopted children from Kyrgyzstan and Kstan. It was great to see their beaming faces!
Well, the trip wasn’t without some adventure. Adventure (приключение in Russian) seems [...]
