Worship in any language

March 13th, 2005 · No Comments

Sandy Patti (who remembers her?) sang a song about 15 years ago called Love In Any Language. I thought about that song today as I went to a church service in Karaganda.

Some Korean friends invited me to go with them. A Korean family here has started a Baptist church. It was very uplifting to sing some praise and worship songs that I knew from my days in Lugansk, Ukraine (1994-96).

What was most interesting was to sit through the pastor’s sermon. He preached in Korean and the young lady translated it to Russian. I discovered that Koreans are very passionate when they preach (or at least this one was!).

It was a good service and I once again remembered the heart language is what’s important to God when we worship Him. No matter what language we speak…
