Get set to ride! Saturday morning as I was in my kitchen I heard a familiar sound of a band warming up. I looked out the window and saw lots of bicyclist riding around, warming up.
I decided to dress and take a walk to see what was happening. There was a small ceremony across the street from my apartment. I learned that Karaganda was hosting the national bicycle championships.
The last photo is of a billboard next to my apartment building. It say, “With Love Astana”. Astana is beginning a grand 10th anniversary celebration as the new capital starting Monday, June30 and lasting through Sunday, July 6. There are signs all over Karaganda wishing Astana happy anniversary.
