Birthday Blowout, part 2

Well, today (Wednesday) I continued celebrating my birthday with several of my missionary family. I have grown to love these brothers and sisters like they are my own family.

After doing some shopping downtown, they took me to eat lunch at a Ukrainian restaurant in a park downtown. It was great!

The lunch menu is 28 grivna (about $5) and you get a three course meal. We had a green salad, then some of the most delicious borsch that I have ever eaten (and it was without meat!), then we had a few fried potates with fried pork. It was all very tasty and for the price you can’t beat it!

The weather today was spectacular and a little warmer than it has been. While it has been fun to celebrate two days in a row, it’s time that I got back to work and get some things accomplished.

To all who sent cards, wishes and called, thank you for making this birthday special. I will post some photos from the two days soon!
