I left DFW at 8:30 a.m. expecting to have a 9 hour layover in Houston in order to fly to Dayton, but praying for an opportunity to get on one of the earlier flights. I had asked numerous friends to pray for me to get on one of the earlier flights.
I arrived at Houston George Bush airport at 9:30 and rushed to get to the right terminal. Well, the terminal I arrived in is the only one where you have to leave a secure area in order to get to the other terminals… (Houston, you really need to fix this problem!!! After all, going through security is a real HASSLE!!!)
I arrived at the wrong terminal (I was told to go there by one employee), however, I was able to get a boarding pass, go back through security, and then take the train to the right terminal and arrived at the gate with 15 minutes to spare.
The plane was an Embraer and was the smallest jet I have ever been on. Three seats across and the bulkhead couldn’t hold a carry on. So, I had to have my carry on put in the belly of the plane and two of my plates got broken!!! 🙁
When l left Texas the weather had been in the 70’s. When I arrived in Dayton this afternoon, it was in the upper 30’s. Quite a change. I am praising the Lord for being able to get to Dayton at 2:30 p.m. and not at 10:30 p.m.
The church I am speaking at tomorrow has an 8:30 and 11 a.m. service so I wanted to get here earlier. Thank you Lord!
As God would have it, as I was checking in, I noticed the hotel attendant had an accent and I asked her where she was from (I already knew…) She said she was Russian, and then I asked from where and she said Kazakhstan. So I asked specifically where and she said Pavlodar. Well, I was in Pavlodar last September.
Several of the employees at the hotel are Russian, so I hope to get some practice…. See, God is good! Thank you Father!
