I changed my plans and didn’t go to Miami today. I woke up this morning wanting to see more baseball. So, I looked at the schedule and decided to drive to Jupiter, FL (home of Burt Reynolds) to see St. Louis and Florida play in an opener for both of them for Grapefruit League play.
I arrived early, so I watched several of the Cardinal players take batting practice on the practice field. I was able to get pretty close to the action and even got to listen to some of their conversation. That was sooo cool.
I bought a ticket up close. I was near first base, four rows from the Cardinal dugout, so I got some great closeups before the game and got some great action shots also.
It turned off warm and I could truly be called a “red neck” tonight!!! My legs and face also got a little windburned but I feel it was worth it.
After the game, I drove down to the Jupiter beach and saw their lighthouse and the beautiful beach there. The wind was really blowing and there were whitecaps on the ocean. It was nice.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Florida!!!
