Lovin' it here…

I am so blessed to live in Karaganda.  Today I met a brother for tea/coffee and we had a good time visiting.  Zhenya has been such a big help to me from time to time.  He is a genius when it comes to the computer.  After the computer specialists were here for 4 hours last week, I told Zhenya that I was convinced that he knew more about the modem and how it works than they do!  We laughed about it.

Then I went to play basketball tonight.  I had a great time but I am sure that if I continue to play like tonight, I am going to have bruises all over my body.  I took a beating tonight.  I wish I could play basketball like some of the guys I play with.  My friend, Max, and another guy, Dennis, are probably the two best players.  Of course, Dennis has been playing since he was 7 or 8 years old.  He ought to be good!  He is about my height and really skinny and fast!  If he gets the ball on the fast break, forgot about it!  He and Max have been playing together for a while and they know each other well on the court and it shows.

Tonight I was on the opposite team and watched them beat us badly 3 games to none.  We don’t take much of a break so playing full court for almost 2 hours is tiring, but I don’t give up due to my size.  It actually makes me work harder.  I don’t want to be the last person down the court.

Right now, I am sore.  One of my ankles is swollen a little and I have aches and pains.  However, I will be ready to play again on Thursday.  I’m lovin’ it!
