Mexican Thanksgiving?!?

I am staying at a mission house in Budapest. It is used for missionaries from the IMB who need medical attention. There are three of us from our field. So, yesterday (Thanksgiving) all of us had doctor’s appointments around the city, and our hosts, Alvin and Mary, were busy taking us around to our doctors.

I had an appointment at 6 p.m. so we planned to eat dinner at a Mexican restaurant after my visit. One of my colleagues, David, was admitted into the hospital in order to have shoulder surgery on Friday a.m. so he didn’t have dinner with us.

Iguana’s has been in Budapest for a number of years. The Latin music was playing and the decor was fairly original as well. Robert was our waiter. The chips and dip was tasty, along with the cheese dip and guacamole.

I ordered enchiladas and was not disappointed. For a Thanksgiving away from home, it was a great meal. The only thing missing was pecan pie!

After the meal, I was able to see the second half of the Detroit and Atlanta football game. Then I got to see the first half of the Dallas and Denver game. I could have watched the whole game but I was tired.

In a few hours I hope to see the Texas and Texas A&M game, live!!!

I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
