Random thoughts on a Foggy November day

I have not felt well the last couple of days. I started getting a sore throat on Friday evening and it has progressively gotten worse. I haven’t been sleeping well either. Well, this morning I woke up, opened the curtains in my bedroom (which I do every day!), and couldn’t see a thing out the windows.

At first I thought maybe I was going blind, but then I realized that it had to be some of the thickest fog I have ever witnessed. I could barely see the trees below my window or the street.

My throat was very sore, and that was after I had gotten up at 4 a.m. and gargled! So, I gargled more throughout the day.

I had plans to be out during the stay and decided to keep them since I had stayed indoors since Sunday after church. I went to one of our “malls” in town to have some photos printed. I go there since the store tends to be the cheapest and I have a discount card that gives an extra 10 percent.

Well, I knew that the mall had opened an ice skating rink so I walked around and couldn’t believe it! The rink is really big and there is a nice food court there as well. I had coffee at the coffee shop and watched the skaters. It was good day even if I don’t feel all that well.
