Tax document in hand!

On Tuesday I filed for a tax number. It allows me to purchase big ticket items (such as a car), open a bank account and pay certain bills (like when I renew my visa). When the tax office personnel told me that it would be ready on Thursday, July 26, I didn’t believe them. After all, a colleague had waited more than a month for his, so why should I receive mine so quickly.

They told me to return after 2 p.m. So I was at the office today promptly at 2 (it’s the American in me…) and I stood in line where I was told I could pick it up. I got to the front of the line, told her my name and she handed me the document. It was too easy!

Thanks Rosa and Flora for your help! You made my week!  Praise the Lord for working in the situation!

  1. Being a missionary is great, isn’t it?!!! We constantly have opportunities to be grateful for little things, like getting some mundane paperwork done! Or having hot water come out of the bathtub faucet. (I’m expecting to be grateful for that in a few more days, hopefully!) Hope things are going well!

  2. Katie,
I understand about water… we are without water at least once a week it seems like. Recently the whole city went 2 days without any water at all while they made upgrades to the system.
With our harsh winters they have to do lots of repairs to the system during the summer months.
    And, yes, I am grateful!
