Greetings from Wichita Falls, Texas and Happy Thanksgiving!
As I was preparing some food for the feast my family will partake of in a couple of hours, I reflected on why I am thankful for the life God has called me to.
The last 4 years have found me in a different country during this holiday. In 2003, I shared Thanksgiving with my IMB family in Kyiv. In 2004, I traveled to Frankfurt, Germany and shared with some friends who serve there, along with some of their friends and a brother from Fort Worth.
In 2005, due to ringing in my ear, I was in Budapest and had Mexican food for my Thanksgiving dinner. And, of course, this year I am in Wichita Falls, Tx.
I am thankful for God, whol I know loves me and allows me to serve Him. I am thankful for my family and friends who support me in my missionary calling. This Thanksgiving, I am especially thankful to know that the medical problems I am encountering are nothing more than a spastic colon.
The Lord is good. May you experience His blessings today. Happy Thanksgiving!
