I have begun working out in earnest to lose some weight and get into shape. I have even hired a trainer to help me. I am scheduled to work out 3 days a week with the trainer and then I hope to go two other days to do some cardio. In the first week I am already feeling and sleeping better.
After the first day last week, I was INCREDIBLY sore. I could hardly walk without complaining… However, after my second workout, I was less sore and hopefully, there will be some soreness but not what I experienced after the first day.
The young man who is training me is pushing me already and I appreciate him doing so. I am planning to use him as much as possible this spring to give me a good basis to continue once I am back over on the other side of the Big Pond (Atlantic).
Recently, I was looking at some pictures from when I was in elementary and high school. I really gained weight after moving to east Texas. And to think I used to be one of the smallest guys when I lived in Jacksboro. Times have really changed.
I do have to admit that it is much easier to eat healthier in the US. I can buy bagged salads and veggies, fresh veggies (broccoli, squash, etc) and a variety of fruits. I don’t have this kind of selection where I live and the stuff is cheaper! I even bought a cantaloupe and strawberries recently!
So, here’s to healthier living!
