Week of May 23, 2005

Lower parliament voted and passed the religious amendments last week to restrict religious work and now goes to the senate to vote.

Peter, is a new student at the institute. He lives in Uzbekistan. In the village where he lives, he is the oldest brother in Christ, so many of the pastoral duties fall on his shoulders. He has a heart to reach youth and young adults. Pray for him as he ministers there.

I am preparing to teach a small group seminar in several cities and villages in early June.

Please pray for Anatoliy (our first national CP). He is making some good contacts with people in Temirtau. Pray for him to have wisdom in making decisions.

James and Julie Kim serve as Strategy Coordinators for IMB work in K’stan. They will return on Saturday after being on medical leave. Pray for her health.

Dieting has been next to impossible since I do not have much control over what I eat. Thankfully, we play volleyball or basketball on the days when it doesn’t rain.

I have booked a flight to Texas, arriving on September 3. I will be there for 3 1/2 weeks until the 28th. I am limiting my speaking engagements to the cities where I will be, so pray for God to give me opportunities to share the vision for the work in K’stan.
